Pay Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour Prevailing Wage: $21.68 per hour when working on qualifying prevailing wage projects Position Type Seasonal What You'll Do Safely direct vehicle traffic through highway and roadway construction work zones using approved flagging procedures, signs, paddles, and hand signals. Operate a pilot vehicle to escort traffic safely through construction zones (Pilot Car Drivers only). Maintain constant awareness of traffic conditions and communicate effectively with crew members to ensure a safe work environment. Follow all traffic control plans, company policies, and applicable safety regulations. Assist with setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices as needed. Promote a positive and professional image while interacting with the public, customers, and coworkers. Perform other duties as assigned to support field operations. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Current Flagger Certification required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required for Pilot Car Drivers. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, outdoor construction environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and committed to safety. Willingness to work overtime and varying schedules as business needs require. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently climb, balance, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Comfortable working near moving traffic, construction equipment, dust, fumes, and airborne particles.
