Controller Location: Bellevue, WA Estimated Salary Range: $145,000 - $180,000 DOE Our client is a well established commercial construction company with a strong reputation for quality work, long-term relationships, and steady growth. They are looking for a Controller who can take ownership of the accounting function and serve as a trusted partner to leadership and operations. Controller The Role The Controller will lead day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This position works closely with project teams and senior leadership to support decision making, maintain strong controls, and keep the organization financially sound. Controller Key Responsibilities Oversee general ledger, job cost accounting, billing, AP/AR, and month‑end close Ensure accurate WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and project cost tracking Prepare and review monthly and year‑end financial statements Partner with project and operations teams on cash flow, forecasting, and margins Maintain internal controls and support audits, tax filings, and compliance needs Controller Qualifications 8+ years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibility Solid background in construction accounting (job cost, WIP, percentage of completion) Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred, not required) This Controller role offers the opportunity to step into a visible, trusted position within a stable construction organization where expertise is respected and collaboration matters.
