Host - 2026 Department: Food and Beverage Employment Type: Seasonal - Full Time Location: Copper River Princess Lodge Description Service Excellence. Performance. Integrity. Teamwork. Consistency. Innovation. The Host plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by performing a variety of entry‑level customer service and clerical tasks. The host ensures a smooth and efficient flow of guests into the restaurant. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs a variety of entry‑level customer service and clerical tasks. Works with the Dining Room Supervisor to ensure a smooth flow of guests to the restaurant. Responds to employees, management, and customers' queries. Performs opening and closing duties as assigned by management. Keeps shared work stations and areas clean and sanitary. REQUIREMENTS Must pass a pre‑employment background check. Minimum age of 18 years required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska. Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H‑2B status). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Must have or the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler’s Card. Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25-50 pounds. Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals. Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
