Senior Product Counsel - FinTech

New York, NY or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid) Larson Maddox has partnered with a high-growth technology company to identify a Product Counsel to join its legal team. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to product, engineering, business, and leadership stakeholders, helping to drive the development and launch of innovative products and services. The ideal candidate is a senior legal professional with strong product counseling experience, exposure to fintech or other regulated industries, and a demonstrated ability to provide creative, business-oriented legal advice in complex and evolving environment Responsibilities Partner closely with product, engineering, and business teams throughout the product development lifecycle Advise on the design, launch, and scaling of new products, features, and strategic initiatives Provide practical legal guidance on product, commercial, regulatory, and operational matters Evaluate legal and regulatory considerations associated with technology-enabled products and service Collaborate cross-functionally to identify risks and develop business-oriented solutions that support innovation and growth Draft and negotiate customer-facing terms, product documentation, and commercial agreements Develop scalable legal frameworks, policies, and processes that support continued business growth. Monitor industry and regulatory developments impacting the company's products and operations Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar members 10+ years of legal experience , including experience gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department Experience advising technology, fintech, marketplace, SaaS, or other innovative growth-stage businesses Exposure to securities laws, financial regulations, or other regulated business environments Demonstrated experience partnering directly with product, engineering, and business stakeholders Strong commercial judgment and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives Proven ability to independently manage complex legal matters and influence cross-functional decision-making Excellent communication, drafting, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Experience Product counseling experience within a fintech, technology-enabled financial services, or regulated technology business Experience supporting the development, launch, and scaling of innovative products and services Familiarity with securities law concepts and financial regulatory frameworks, though deep subject matter expertise is not required Experience working with businesses operating in regulated financial services environments, including those supporting investment-related products or services Demonstrated ability to provide creative, solutions-oriented legal advice in evolving or novel areas Strong track record of partnering with product and business teams to enable growth while appropriately managing risk Entrepreneurial mindset with a practical, business-focused approach to legal problem-sol #J-18808-Ljbffr Larson Maddox
