Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Professional Registered Nurse responsible for providing acute emergency care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including cardiac or respiratory arrest, utilizing ACLS and PALS protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee RN license required.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an emergency room setting.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI, PALS. Desirable: TNCC.
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR system with at least 1 year of experience.
• Ability to float to other units within Prisma Health as needed, demonstrating flexibility and competence.
