As a Forward Deployed Scientific Informatics Consultant, you can expect to:Utilize AI tools to effectively elicit, demonstrate, develop, and scale solutions that meet the needs of laboratory scientists across the value chainConduct stakeholder interviews and working sessions to gather insights and clarify needsAnalyze and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development and configuration of custom and off-the-shelf solutionsDevelop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirement specifications, use cases, user stories, and design documentsOperate in and perform project management activities for both waterfall and agile methodologiesSupport the design and implementation of solutions that comply with regulatory standards in GxP and non-GxP environmentsSupport the accurate and timely design, creation, and migration of scientific master data and transactional dataProvide training and ongoing support to end-users on new systems and processesPrepare SDLC documents (Process Maps, Workflows, Specs, Test Scripts, etc.)Provide point-of-view on laboratory and scientific informatics solutions and strengths and weaknesses of various technology solutionsAdvise on data and system architectures as they relate to industry solutions for the laboratoryHelp clients better capture, handle, integrate and analyze complex scientific dataOversee, design, and implement digital solutions such as Agentic Lab Capabilities, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS), Instrument Orchestration technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), and cloudTravel - candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% to client locationsWho do we need - Basic Qualifications:A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of scientific and laboratory informatics, within R&D and/or QC Manufacturing spacesBachelor's Degree in a Laboratory Science / Life Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology) or Computer Science or Engineering (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering)Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of 2 years of experience in consultingExperience working in or with life sciences R&D, QC, or ITImplementation experience with any of the following laboratory solutions: Benchling, Revvity Signals, Waters CDS/SDMS, Dotmatics, LabVantage, LabWare, SampleManager, Scitara, TetraScienceStrong interpersonal skills and both verbal and written communication skillsGrowth OpportunitiesYou will always be learning in this role through:Accessing and applying capable AI tools to make all facets of work faster and smarterOn the job learning: creating experiments with new technologies, products and across team partnershipsBeing part of a forward-thinking community committed to training on and the adoption of latest methodologies such as design thinking and agile workingOpportunities to be a face of Accenture at industry forums, conferences, and through thought leadershipCompensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
