Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume AP function within a fast-paced professional services environment. This position will take ownership of complex accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, payment execution, vendor account reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and maintaining accurate financial records. Join a stable, established organization with a collaborative and supportive accounting team Step into a senior-level AP role with greater ownership and exposure beyond invoice processing Gain hands-on experience with vendor reconciliations, month-end close, accruals, and process improvements Work alongside experienced Accounting and AP leadership with opportunities to continue developing your skill set Become a trusted resource on a high performing AP team known for strong tenure and low turnover Build valuable experience within the legal/professional services industry Job Details Key Responsibilities Manage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable, including processing 20–50+ invoices and payment requests per day Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and compliance with established procedures Prepare and process vendor payments, check requests, and other AP transactions Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, duplicate invoices, and vendor inquiries Perform vendor account reconciliations and assist with resolving outstanding balances Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation to ensure a clean audit trail Assist with month-end close activities, including AP reconciliations, accrual support, and outstanding invoice review Partner with Accounting, Finance, and internal departments to address AP-related issues and maintain timely processing Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, streamline processes, and improve AP efficiency Serve as an experienced resource to other AP team members and provide support on more complex transactions as needed Qualifications 3+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, within a law firm or in the legal services industry Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes, invoice coding, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution Legal or professional services industry experience preferred Experience working with carrier invoices and/or billing guidelines is a plus Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP; exposure to macros is a plus Experience with Aderant preferred but not required Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to independently manage a high transaction volume while consistently meeting deadlines Interested in hearing more?
