Service Technician - Dallas

Company: SimplyHome Job Title: Service Technician (Dallas, TX) Department: Property Management Reports to: Area Service Manager Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt / Hourly Job Summary SimplyHome is actively seeking a Service Technician. This position will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing home maintenance issues within our SimplyHome single‑family, townhomes, and multi‑family residences. Service Technicians with SimplyHome are expected to maintain a high level of customer service and have a desire to achieve customer satisfaction. Duties/Responsibilities Having knowledge and ability to perform home maintenance tasks (interior and exterior). Ability to diagnose complex home maintenance issues. Must have reliable transportation. Additional responsibilities and exceptions may include emergency maintenance tasks (for example natural disasters). Keep up to date notes and documentation on each work order within our property management software. Ensure and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction to be measured by resident surveys upon completion of each work order. Required Skills/Abilities Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer‑focused demeanor with demanding clientele. Excellent time management skills, detail‑orientation and ability to multi‑task and prioritize work. Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficiency in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co‑workers throughout the organization. Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary. Able to work in an equitable, inclusive, and diverse environment. Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record (including toll tags) for the last 5 years. Education and Experience High school graduation or GED equivalent. Property Management software experience a plus. Strong background with either home warranty, motor home or multifamily residential repairs. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Ability to lift 50lbs and walk up and downstairs. Up to 25% of travel may be required.
