Mental Health Clinical Therapist I-Weekender Days-LOH Adult Inpatient

Hourly Pay Range $30.46 - $45.69 per hour, determined by expertise and experience. Position Highlights Position: Mental Health Clinical Therapist I – Weekender Location: LOH Naperville – Inpatient Pay: Per Diem – Weekends Hours: Days What You Will Do Conduct psychosocial assessments via interviews with patients and significant others to obtain history and identify preliminary treatment focus. Contact appropriate previous and current tertiary caregivers to obtain relevant collateral clinical data for coordination of care, treatment planning and discharge planning. Develop, implement and monitor progress of the patient’s individualized treatment plan. Conduct daily group and individual assessments to identify treatment needs by interviewing patients one-on-one and transcribing relevant information. Provide individual, group and family process-oriented counseling sessions. Conduct educational, after‑care support and other didactic groups for patients and families using professional treatment modalities. Participate in regular clinical team meetings/staffing and provide input on psychosocial, disease management and case management needs. Adhere to all procedures and legislation applicable to patients in a mental health and substance abuse treatment facility. Maintain knowledge of community resources (12‑step support meetings, recovery homes, residential treatment facilities) and medical allied staff expertise to assure appropriate discharge liaison is implemented. Report to community/state agencies any patient issues required by hospital policy and state or federal law, and serve as the facility’s representative in legal proceedings. Maintain accurate and timely medical records including psychosocial assessments, family session and daily progress notes involving school personnel and other community collateral. Provide descriptions of therapeutic interventions and patient responses for the discharge planning process. Schedule, attend and document court hearings as required (e.g., involuntary admission, guardianship). Provide backup services for incoming assessment and referral calls. Participate in activities that enhance professional growth and development. May serve as a spokesperson before professional or community groups and demonstrate conduct in keeping with LOH ethical standards. Comply with facility safety, infection control and security program. Float to alternate units or Linden Oaks locations based on census and staffing needs. What You Will Need Master’s Degree in Social Work or a recognized mental health field, or a Bachelor’s Degree plus completion of an approved substance abuse education program for the substance abuse area. Knowledge of developmental psychology, disease pathology and clinical needs of the assigned population. Ability to maintain highly confidential information. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and documentation. Ability to demonstrate self‑control in volatile or hostile situations. Ability to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintain therapeutic boundaries during treatment and following discharge. Minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health setting. Current State of Illinois licensure with a minimum of three letters (LPC, LCPC, LSW, ALMFT, LMFT, LCSW, LCP) unless primary patient population is chemical dependency when a CADC is required. Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire.
