Senior Radio Frequency Engineer

An innovative space technology company developing advanced robotics and mobility systems for lunar and planetary exploration is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This role will support the design, integration, and testing of RF systems for space-based platforms, including satellites and planetary rovers, within a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Design, analyse, and integrate RF subsystems for space and communications platforms Perform electromagnetic simulations and RF trade studies to support system design decisions Develop and execute RF and antenna test plans, including VSWR, gain, and radiation pattern analysis Build, integrate, and test RF hardware and communications payloads Create and analyse link budgets for space-to-Earth communications systems Conduct antenna co‑site and interference analysis Use industry‑standard RF modelling and simulation tools to validate system performance Produce detailed technical documentation, reports, and test results Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external vendors throughout development cycles Key Requirements Strong background in RF systems design, analysis, and testing Background in satellite, space, or planetary rover RF systems Hands‑on experience building and testing RF hardware and RF test racks Experience with RF test equipment including spectrum analysers, network analysers, signal generators, and power meters Ability to develop and execute RF validation and verification plans against technical requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Minimum 5 years of RF engineering experience Excellent technical communication and documentation skills Highly organised, self‑motivated, and able to work effectively in fast‑paced environments Eligibility to work on U.S. regulated aerospace programmes This is an exciting opportunity to join a pioneering aerospace organisation focused on enabling the future of lunar and planetary exploration.
