Wound Care Nurse Location: West Allis, WI Job Id: 824 # of Openings: 1 Job Description VMP Healthcare and Community Living is looking for a Wound Care Nurse to join our team! You will provide high quality, holistic nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards and health care regulations. Lead or direct licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions. We are seeking to fill 1 full‑time position. Education Requirements Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a current and active license to practice as an RN in this state. Wound/Skin Care Certification is Required. Job Responsibility Overview Serves as a resource to residents, staff, physicians, and management. Provides clinical expertise, education, consultation, leadership, and research to the organization. Coordinates with the Director of Nursing with the ongoing tracking and trending of wounds and skin issues for quality initiatives, completes routine reporting forms, and provides recommendations when changes are noted. Follows the Federal and State regulations and the facility policies and procedures as well as all infection control, safety, OSHA, CDC, and privacy/security requirements. Assists as requested with any survey/legal or regulatory requests in the wound and skin care area.
