Description

SUMMARY
Fits and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assembly by performing the following duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fit up parts prior to weld.

• MIG or TIG various parts in different material types.

• Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and check quality requirements.

• Personally, conduct all quality checks before moving to Quality Department.

• Understand and interpret prints and technical drawings.

• Grinding, sanding and cutting using a plasma cutter, as required.

• Adhere to Lean Manufacturing initiatives, quality requirements and all safety programs.

• Bluco

• Advance position qualification (minimum 3G)

• Multi-pass certification

• Oxy/Fuel or Plasma

• Robot Operator

• Spot Weld

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED.

• Demonstrated success is fit-up of parts to be welded.

• Math and blueprint skills.

• Self-starter, capable of completing task(s) with minimal supervision.
