Neonatal Hospitalist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Neonatal Hospitalist to join their expanding team at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to practice newborn care in a high-acuity environment with autonomy, collaboration, and support. The position focuses on a balanced workday with flexible scheduling and no overnight call, within a hospital system committed to investing in Women's & Children's services.

Practice Info

• 25-bed Level III NICU (ADC: 17)
• 36-bed Newborn Nursery (ADC: 14)
• Approximately 3,500 annual deliveries
• Care for all gestational ages (excluding surgical cases)
• Advanced services include body cooling, oscillators, and a dedicated RN/RT-staffed regional transport team
• Collaborative, multidisciplinary team including Neonatologists, NNPs, OB Hospitalists, MFM specialists, and telehealth subspecialists

Responsibilities

• Newborn nursery rounding
• Supervising family medicine residents
• Performing circumcisions
• Opportunities to teach and mentor University of Central Florida family medicine residents
