Pharmacy Technician - Central ATX - Part Time

Part Time Pharmacy Tech or Experienced Trainee – Central ATX 4018 N. Lamar Peoples Rx is a locally-owned, holistic compounding pharmacy that has served the Austin community and been a beloved Austin icon for over 40 years. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with our progressive, world-class pharmacists to provide personalized service to each customer. The ideal candidate has the ability to process a variety of prescriptions in a fast-paced, retail environment and maintains a positive attitude with fellow team members. Our Pharmacy Technicians work promptly, safely and accurately to fill patient prescriptions all while providing a unique customer experience. Part-time candidates must be available to work an average of 24 hours per week and have consistent weekday availability during standard business hours. Limited or highly restricted availability may not meet the needs of this role. Requirements: Must have active TSBP Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee license Must reside in the greater Austin area (in-person role, variable locations) Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong data entry skills with accuracy and efficiency Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology 6 months to 1 year of retail pharmacy experience preferred Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends Able to lift up to 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods (typically up to 8 hours) Key Responsibilities: Process and verify prescription orders (written/electronic) Accurately input prescription data into pharmacy software Answer phones and assist patients with questions Contact providers for prescription clarifications and refill authorizations Troubleshoot and resolve insurance claim issues Support pharmacists with packaging and labeling medications Help maintain inventory and place medication orders when directed Starting Pay: $17.00 – $21.00/hour (Based on certification level + experience) Benefits for Part Time include: 401(k) with employer match Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Generous Employee Discount #J-18808-Ljbffr Peoples Rx
