Senior Android Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Android Developer for a Contract with a client in Mount Laurel, NJ. The ideal candidate who has strong experience in Android development is required to lead architecture, design, and development of scalable mobile applications using modern frameworks like Jetpack Compose and Kotlin .

Rate Range: $45/Hour to $59/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Senior Android Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead architecture, design, and development of Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Define technical direction, enforce best practices (SOLID, MVVM/MVI), and ensure scalable solutions.
• Integrate third-party SDKs and implement secure authentication features (biometric, passkeys, Autofill).
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Ensure high code quality through code reviews, testing (JUnit, Espresso), and documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android architecture components, and modern design patterns (MVVM/MVI).
• Proven experience in CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), secure authentication integrations, and leading high-quality mobile application delivery with mentoring responsibilities.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $59.00 per hour
