Rhapsody Developer

Salary: $81,000 - 121,000 per year Requirements:

• 3+ years of software development experience with Rhapsody
• 2+ years working with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7 v2; this experience is preferred but not required
• Strong experience with Rhapsody and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Deep understanding of FHIR resources and HL7 v2 messaging; preferred
• Familiarity with FHIR servers such as HAPI FHIR, Firely, or AWS FHIR APIs; preferred
• Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration
• Experience parsing and generating JSON, XML, and HL7 v2 messages
• Hands-on experience with integration tools
• SQL database skills, including PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Familiarity with healthcare vocabularies such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, and ICD-10

• Analyze, design, code, and test application code owned by our Application Team
• Translate clinical and operational workflows into technical integration solutions
• Work with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, and Eclinical to enable bidirectional data exchange
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and monitor integrations
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and security requirements, including HIPAA
• Support and optimize existing Rhapsody solutions used by NJIIS
• Develop and maintain HL7 v2- and FHIR-based integration pipelines
• Implement and support SOAP web services, SFTP clients, and RESTful FHIR APIs for internal and external use
