CDL-A Dry Van Driver - Smyrna, GA
We are actively seeking CDL-A drivers for an OTR dry van role that provides weekly home time for a 34-hour reset. The job involves mainly dry van freight, with 95% being no-touch and 85% drop and hook, ensuring minimal physical exertion.
Compensation:
- Average weekly earnings between $1,150 and $1,500 based on mileage and performance.
Running Area:
- Covering GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, and AL.
Our fleet consists of modern International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth trucks, all equipped with 1,500-watt inverters and an Opti-Idle system for efficient heating and cooling. Drivers can take the truck and trailer home, provided there's a secure parking space.
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance beginning on the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
- $20,000 in company-paid life insurance.
- Vacation pay and a 401(k) plan with a 50% company match up to 3%.
- A passenger policy available after 30 days, with certain age restrictions.
Additional Compensation:
- Detention pay according to customer policy.
- Layover pay at $12 per hour after the first hour.
- Annual safety bonus of $0.01 per mile for accident-free driving.
Orientation:
- Lasts three days from Tuesday to Thursday at multiple locations.
- Includes transportation by bus or train, a private hotel room, and meals during the orientation.
- Orientation sites include Alvarado, TX; Atlanta, GA; Chester, VA; Juliet, TN; Jacksonville, FL; Tacoma, WA; Medford, OR; and Phoenix, AZ.
Requirements
- • Valid CDL Class A license
- • Clean driving record
- • Minimum 12 months tractor trailer experience
- • Pass DOT physical and drug screening
