Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults on the medical-surgical and neuro-oriented unit, delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments, and perform necessary assessments including neurologic checks; escalate changes promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing peers, case managers, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; ensure timely communication of patient needs, goals, and discharge planning.
- Support patient safety and quality initiatives; assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; participate in rounds and interdisciplinary care conferences.
- Respond to emergencies and provide essential life-saving interventions within scope of practice.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a medical-surgical or neurology-focused specialty.
- Certifications: Required AHA BLS and NIH Certification; Preferred: AHA ACLS.
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour shifts; ability to work in a 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m. window; schedule may vary.
- Applicant location: No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location.
- Education: Not specified beyond holding an RN degree appropriate for the role.
