Veterinary Extern: General Practice (Stipend)

We offer all types of preventative care, ultrasound, in‑house Idexx laboratory suite, digital x‑ray and orthopedics. We also partner with our local wildlife rescue. Job Opportunities for Veterinary Students All Veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate in externships. Preference may be given to students in their final year(s) of veterinary school. The externship duration ranges from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. Veterinary students participate directly with our clinicians in case management. We are committed to lifelong learning. Our objective is to educate veterinary student externs by providing learning opportunities that will build upon the extern’s knowledge base and clinical skills. We are a fun, fast‑paced hospital with great clientele. Ideal Candidates Veterinary students in good academic standing at an AVMA‑accredited school of Veterinary Medicine. Hard‑working, motivated, friendly, and team‑oriented. Stipend Veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
