Power BI Reporting Lead

IDR is seeking a Power BI Reporting Lead to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. In this role, you will lead enterprise BI development and reporting initiatives within the insurance finance space, partnering closely with both business and technical teams. This is an excellent opportunity to drive scalable analytics solutions and executive-ready dashboards for a highly visible reporting environment.

**Position Overview for the Power BI Reporting Lead **:

• Lead Power BI and Sigma development for enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives within an insurance finance domain
• Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, and BI stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions
• Design, build, and oversee dashboards and KPI reporting for key financial and performance metrics
• Guide data modeling, reporting security, and governed self-service analytics practices to ensure consistency and access control
• Drive reporting automation, performance optimization, and support for executive, close, and regulatory reporting deliverables

Requirements for the Power BI Reporting Lead :

• 710 years of BI/reporting experience, including leadership of reporting initiatives or BI teams
• Deep hands-on Power BI expertise (DAX, Row-Level Security, DirectQuery, Dataflows)
• Sigma Computing experience supporting enterprise reporting and self-service analytics
• Strong SQL skills with experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake)
• Property & Casualty insurance finance reporting experience, including understanding of premiums, losses, commissions, P&L, and balance sheet reporting
