What You'll Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic procedures, and creating personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either independently or in conjunction with physicians as allowed by your credentials
• Providing vital education to patients and their families on health promotion, preventive strategies, and management of diseases
• Prescribing medications and treatments within the guidelines of your practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management
• Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery
• Accurately documenting interactions and care details within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Kansas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within 90 days)
