KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice. Responsibilities: Support leadership in taking lead on developing technical contents such as business development documents, white papers and technical responses and provide proficient documentation and operating guidance for clients and users of all levels Collaborate with KPMG or client teams in designing and developing technical architectures and best practices required as part of KPMG technical responses to the government RFPs and RFIs including detailed methodologies / roadmaps for cloud migration and integration Lead multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams, workshops, and innovation sessions with clients to identify business opportunities and design, develop, and optimize architectures to tackle the Big Data and Data Science needs for federal and local government agencies Utilize processes and best practices to plan, lead, and execute delivery of big data and data analytics engagements with clients to manage risks, set expectations, and ensure high quality deliverables Design tools and services useful in cloud DevOps environments such as performance monitoring, security monitoring, deployment/configuration, continuous integration/build servers, and cloud resource creation scripts Rapidly architect, design, prototype, and optimize software systems to tackle Data Access, Data Management, and Data Science needs Qualifications: A minimum of five years of experience with programming languages (Python, Scala preferred) with the ability to pick up new languages and technologies quickly Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university Ability to rapidly ingest, transform, engineer, and visualize data for both ad hoc and product-level (e.g., automated) data and analytics solutions Understanding of cloud and distributed systems principles (load balancing, networks, scaling, in-memory vs. disk, etc.) Experience with large-scale big data methods (Hadoop stack, Cloud, Kubernetes) Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements Applicant must possess or be eligible for a U.S. Government clearance KPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
