(Perks & Benefits) - Competitive Pay: Earn a guaranteed $20.00 per hour to start. - Paid to Wait: Unlike traditional ride-share or delivery gigs, we pay you for your time even while you are waiting on a crew or train! - Create Your Own Schedule: As an on-call position, we offer wide schedule availability to easily flex around your lifestyle or personal commitments. - No CDL Needed: You will be driving standard, safe, well-maintained passenger mini-vans. - Paid Training: We provide comprehensive training from day one to ensure your absolute success. - Healthcare & Insurance: Access to limited medical, dental, short-term disability, and life insurance. - Paid Time Off (PTO): Enjoy accrued paid time off after completing your first year of employment. ### ### What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) - Safely and punctually transport professional railroad crews to various operational locations, railyards, and lodging facilities based on their schedules. - Perform quick routine vehicle safety checks (bending, stretching, and inspecting the mini-van before and after trips) to ensure your vehicle is safe for the road. - Use smart electronic devices/apps to stay in touch with dispatch, complete paid training, onboard seamlessly, and submit trip information. - Deliver top-notch, friendly customer service, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor even in high-traffic conditions. ### ### What We're Looking For (Qualifications) Because railroad environments demand high security and safety, we look for drivers who meet the following guidelines: The Basics: - Must be at least 21 years of age . - Must hold a current, valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record. - Ideally live within a 20--25 minute radius of Lamar, CO to promptly assist with on-call requests. - Ability to read, hear, and clearly respond to instructions in English via phone, radio, or navigation systems. Driving Record & Background Requirements: - Fewer than two (2) moving violations within the past three (3) years. - No careless, reckless, or failure-to-control violations within the last five (5) years. - No DUI convictions in the last seven (7) years; no drug/alcohol-related convictions in the last four (4) years. - No vehicle theft convictions within the last seven (7) years. - Must be cleared by eRailsafe and pass a company background screening. Physical & Tech Readiness: - Comfort with extended periods of sitting hile driving or waiting on crews. - Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. - Ability to safely enter/exit the mini-van, fit comfortably behind the wheel, and properly wear a seatbelt. - Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and a DOT physical examination (per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act, Section 391.41).
