Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through the use of standardized assessments and observations.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans aimed at fulfilling both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Engage in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to develop integrated care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and families to support treatment progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions on an as-needed basis, ensuring seamless care throughout treatment.
  • Keep meticulous documentation aligned with pertinent state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements by participating in continuing education and collaborating with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completed a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods encompassing all age groups, along with a profound understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary care teams.
  • Adaptability in therapy techniques to meet a diverse array of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical judgment paired with proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols.
