Conformance Testing Team Lead

The position is described below. The role involves executing sophisticated analytics to generate actionable insights that improve business outcomes, enhance data quality, and minimize risk. The data scientist will also provide consulting and thought leadership to business leaders, guide junior team members, and help shape enterprise‑scale analytics initiatives. Employment Details Type: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform sophisticated data analytics – data profiling, data quality assessment, data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics, across structured and unstructured data. Own end-to-end testing environment solutions, including data sourcing, profiling, model design, technical development, validation, deployment, and measurement of business impact. Design, develop, and maintain analytical solutions and automation to support data analysis, risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting. Provide analytical consulting, risk‑focused insights, and thought leadership to business, technology, risk, and compliance partners. Co‑design optimal solutions to complex business and risk problems using advanced analytics, data science techniques, and modern data platforms. Work with diverse data environments and technologies (RDBMS, flat files, SAS‑based analytics solutions). Maintain SAS programs and automation, and leverage Python as needed. Exercise sound judgment and promote a strong risk management and data governance culture during solution design, development, and deployment. Continuously learn, adopt, and promote new analytical tools and techniques. Mentor junior teammates, foster an inclusive and collaborative environment. Drive team standards and participate in hiring, onboarding, and coaching of new teammates. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent education and related training. Six years of related experience. Domain expertise in banking, financial services, fintech, quantitative risk management, or financial regulation. In‑depth knowledge of statistics, programming (Python, R, SAS), machine learning, model development, and business information visualization. Working knowledge of Hadoop, Pig, Hive, NoSQL, and Spark. Experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and/or leading teams. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field. Ten or more years of relevant work experience if the candidate lacks a graduate degree. Strong hands‑on experience with Python for analytics and data engineering. Prior experience in the banking, fintech, or other highly regulated industries. Job Requirements / Working Conditions Sitting – constantly (more than 50% of the time). Visual / Audio / Speaking – able to access and interpret client information from the computer and speak with individuals by phone and in person. Manual Dexterity / Keyboarding – able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse. Availability – work all scheduled hours, including overtime as required. Travel – minimal, up to 10%.
