RN - PACU

Registered Nurse - Critical Care Post Anesthesia Care Unit

This is a PM shift position from 19:00 to 07:30, requiring 3 shifts per week, totaling 35 hours.

Join our dedicated team in the Critical Care Post Anesthesia Care Unit. In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort during the postoperative period. You will manage a patient load depending on acuity levels, adhering to ASPAN standards.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and recovery progress.
• Administer medications and provide post-operative care.
• Manage ventilated patients and those with A-lines, chest tubes, and midlines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control policies and standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU and ICU settings.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Critical care training with a strong comfort level in managing complex cases, including stroke and neurosurgery patients.
