Cost Accounting Manager

Job Summary We are hiring a Cost Accounting Manager for our Columbia, South Carolina site. The role reports to the Controller and focuses on month‑end closing, budgeting, cost control, and compliance with corporate and legislative policies. Typical Day / Responsibilities Serve as main point of contact for Global Business Services on finance objectives. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports. Participate in special projects and compile special reports. Conduct ad‑hoc financial investigations for local management. Prepare receivables reports as required. Work closely with operations and commercial teams to recognize business impacts on the site’s financial position. Prepare weekly/month‑end reports for the business team. Prepare financial reports for regulators and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance. Assist with internal and external financial audits. Assist with managing the Accounting and costing departments. Implement HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified workforce. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience and training). Background in manufacturing/cost accounting preferred. Minimum of 4 years of related experience. Advanced functional and technical skills with basic people and/or process management skills. In-depth knowledge of the cost accounting function and Flex’s business. Comprehensive understanding of GBS team and related processes at the site.
