We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our team at the Richmond Plant. As the Payroll Accountant, you will oversee all aspects of the accounting payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our organization and work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in oversight of daily production reports; collection, recording and correction.
• Responsible for most Payroll functions.
• Input/Update time to Payroll Documents
• Balance Payroll Documents with UKG Payroll System
• Data entry for production reports. Review/correct weekly kickouts.
• Weekly scans of production reports and completed C&Rs.
• Weekly update Disposition system with remake and scrap costs.
• Assist Plant Accountant in annual budget preparation.
• Assist Plant Accountant in annual physical inventory.
• Supports the Accounting Department as needed.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, from union workers to Corporate Senior Management.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of Payroll accounting experience preferred.

In addition, we provide cables to various other industrial customers in areas of Hospitals, Colleges & Universities, Water Treatment Plants and Data Centers. With today's focus on renewable energy, Okonite cables can be found at Wind Farms, Solar Farms, and Biofuel generating facilities.
