Hybrid (Work in office 3 days per month) - Staff Accountant Position: Staff Accountant Reports To: Accounting Manager Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (supports East Coast operations) Work Model: Hybrid – In office 3–4 business days per month (primarily during close); remote all other days About the Organization Our Client is a publicly traded North American entertainment organization operating hospitality and entertainment properties nationally. What you will be doing as the Staff Accountant General Accounting Review and ensure accuracy of daily financial activity Prepare and review month-end journal entries Perform weekly cash reconciliations Complete balance sheet and cash account reconciliations Prepare tax provisions Accounts Payable Oversee AP processing and weekly check runs Ensure proper coding and processing accuracy Payroll Approve semi-weekly payroll uploads Prepare monthly accrual journal entries Fixed Assets Maintain fixed asset register Prepare monthly depreciation entries Reporting & Compliance Issue monthly P&L statements Conduct variance analysis Prepare KPI uploads Complete gaming tax templates Prepare debt covenants and required financial schedules Manage weekly cash surveys and required regulatory reporting What you need to possess to be successful as the Staff Accountant Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Required) Full-cycle accounting experience ERP system experience (beyond QuickBooks) 3+ years of relevant accounting experience Concur Invoicing experience preferred Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Strong time management and ability to work independently 401(k) with match Paid time off, paid holidays and sick time Annual Performance Evaluations Financial Talent Group provides equal employment and recruiting opportunities to all employees, applicants, and recruits for employment for Financial Talent Group and in recruiting employees for its clients, and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
