Duties * Assist patients with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence * Support the implementation of individualized care plans developed by occupational therapists * Provide therapy interventions in various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home health visits, and skilled nursing facilities * Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising therapist for ongoing assessment and adjustment of treatment strategies * Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations * Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive devices, and safety techniques to enhance recovery at home or in outpatient settings * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care that addresses physical, emotional, and social needs Qualifications * Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program * Proven experience assisting with ADLs across diverse healthcare environments such as inpatient acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings * Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles * Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to pediatric or geriatric populations * Excellent patient care skills with the ability to motivate and support individuals through their recovery process * Ability to work effectively in inpatient or outpatient settings while managing multiple priorities * Prior experience working with patients in skilled nursing facilities or providing home health services is highly desirable Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
