Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree required; candidates with only a bachelor's will not be considered.
• Hold one of the following licenses/credentials: LMSW, LLMSW (with supervision), LPC, LLPC (with supervision), Marriage and Family Therapist (master’s level), Professional Clinical Counselor (master’s level), MDE credentialed school psychologist, or appropriate school counselor credentials (SCL, NT, PSCC, TSCL).
• Current, valid LARA license or credentials in Michigan.
• Previous experience in schools as a social worker, counselor, or related mental health specialist preferred.
• Proficiency with SOAP notes, electronic documentation systems, and Google Suite applications.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with students and staff.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct counseling services to general education students, both individually and in groups.
• Provide consultative support and strategies to classroom teachers and building teams.
• Contribute to initiatives such as implementing positive behavior programs and engaging in professional development activities.
• Maintain thorough, timely electronic documentation and progress notes utilizing SOAP format.
• Collaborate with educational and multidisciplinary staff to foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
