Now Hiring: Mid-Level Corporate Associate M&A, Securities and/or Lending | Chicago Preferred | Hybrid Are you a corporate associate who enjoys working across a broad range of transactions? A law firm is seeking a mid-level Corporate Associate with at least three years of law firm experience in general M&A matters and a solid background in securities matters and/or lending work . The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a broad-based corporate practice and advise clients on complex transactions and governance matters. Location: Chicago strongly preferred. Bar admission is required in the state of the attorney’s resident and/or affiliated office. Salary/Package: Competitive salary dependent on qualifications and experience What You’ll Do: Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, private securities offerings, corporate governance and related matters. Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase, shareholder and confidentiality agreements. Conduct due diligence and prepare reports for clients. Coordinate with clients and cross-functional teams to help execute transactions. Oversee junior associates and paralegals on matters. Provide strategic advice informed by relevant legal developments and industry trends. Support public securities and stock exchange compliance, including under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the Securities Act of 1933. A solid background in securities matters and/or lending work. Strong knowledge of corporate law, securities regulations and corporate governance.
