Network Administrator Mid

OverviewWe are seeking a Mid-Level Network Administrator to support enterprise network operations in a mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading, and optimizing network infrastructure while ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for end users. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, routing and switching protocols, and enterprise network administration.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure.Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues involving routing, switching, and WAN connectivity.Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and related network equipment.Monitor network health, performance, and availability.Support network modernization, upgrades, and hardware refresh initiatives.Perform network maintenance, configuration management, and system documentation.Assist with testing, integration, and deployment of new network solutions.Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements and network security controls.Coordinate installation and maintenance activities with internal stakeholders.Participate in troubleshooting efforts to quickly resolve operational issues.Required QualificationsActive Secret Clearance.Security+ certification.Minimum 6 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years of network administration experience.Experience supporting enterprise network environments.Strong troubleshooting skills with routing and switching technologies.Experience with:Cisco RoutersCisco SwitchesBGPOSPFWAN technologiesNetwork monitoring and diagnosticsAbility to obtain a CCNA certification within 6 months of hire.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.Experience supporting large-scale enterprise networks.Knowledge of network architecture, design, and infrastructure planning.Familiarity with configuration management and network documentation processes.Experience working in secure or regulated environments.Work Environment100% onsite position.Fast-paced, mission-focused environment.Local travel between customer locations may be required.Collaborative team environment supporting network operations, maintenance, and modernization efforts.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.08/hr.
