Retail/Starbucks Supervisor - University of Hartford-Gengras

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Starbucks Supervisor will work alongside the store manager to ensure that Starbucks and Aramark standards and policies are followed.

COMPENSATION DATA

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $27.00 to $30.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets (Production sheets and recipes).

• Direct daily activities.
• Maintains food production that ensures the safety and quality of food

according to policies, procedures, and department requirements. • Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment. • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations.

• Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis.
• May prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production for location
• Great and assist customers while anticipating their needs
• Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and

sanitizing • Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions • Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits • Adheres to Aramark’s cash handling policies and procedures At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. QUALIFICATIONS

• Two to three years’ experience in a related supervisor position
• Experience as a successful barista required
• Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food

profession

• Experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems
• Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
• Candidate must be willing to be hands on with staff and operations and be

willing to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends.

• Requires previous cash handling experience
• Must follow required dress code as assigned
• Complete Food Handling Certification as required
