Level III NICU Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 07:00 to 19:00. Weekends required: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period, with variable self-scheduling.

Job Description

The Level III NICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in a challenging and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, with a preference for Level III experience, as they will be caring for critically ill neonates in a Level IV unit.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments following protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Perform neonatal assessments and assist in procedures.
• Educate and support families in care practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of NICU experience, with Level III experience preferred.
• Current RN license in hand, Compact license accepted.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP Advanced.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
