Are you the tech customers call when uptime really matters?
If you thrive on on-site diagnostics and repairs for specialized utility trucks and equipment, this role keeps you in the field solving complex problems every day.
What you’ll do- Troubleshoot and repair bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, service trucks, and a range of utility/construction units—right at the customer’s location.
- Own diesel, hydraulic, and electrical diagnosis from first look to final verification.
- Conduct CTOS rental and customer equipment inspections, including DOT checks and dielectric testing.
- Travel across your territory to keep fleets operating safely and efficiently.
- Territory: Louisiana/Mississippi, East Texas, Western Alabama.
- Travel: 60–80%+ with overnight stays common.
- Industries served: Oil, gas, and utilities along the Gulf Coast.
- Service truck outfitted with a crane, welder, and compressor.

- 7+ years of shop and field experience working on utility, construction (yellow iron), or heavy equipment (CAT, Deere, Komatsu) and medium/heavy-duty trucks.
- Mastery of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL Class B a plus) and personal tools.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively; organized and self-directed.
- Construction equipment maintenance; heavy equipment repair.
- Hydraulics proficiency; diesel engine systems; diesel & heavy equipment systems.
- Electrical systems & diagnostics for heavy equipment.
- Crane and lifting equipment systems; aerial & utility equipment systems.
- DOT & equipment inspection compliance; equipment repair & maintenance.
- ASE Automobile & Light Truck certification tests familiarity.
- GSE (Ground Support Equipment) maintenance exposure.
- Diesel engines and diesel vehicles
- Box, flatbed, and pickup trucks
- Service and refuse trucks
- Cranes, boom cranes, and boom trucks
- Digger derricks and aerial devices
- Hi-rail trucks
- After-treatment systems (DPF, DEF)
