Senior Tax Accountant

A well-established CPA firm is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join its team. Why you'll love this opportunity: Work-life balance – Enjoy a typical 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule during the off-season. Manageable busy season – Work up to 50 hours per week leading up to tax deadlines. No excessive 70-80 hour weeks. Summer Fridays OFF – Take advantage of a 4-day workweek from June through August. Work alongside experienced partners in a collaborative, team-oriented culture. Ongoing professional development, training, and mentorship. Opportunity to work with clients across a diverse range of industries. What you'll be doing: Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary, and tax-exempt tax returns. Prepare tax projections, sales tax returns, and other tax-related filings. Perform tax research involving complex tax issues and changes in tax law. Perform general ledger accounting and month-end close processes. Assist partners with tax audits, including responding to tax notices, corresponding with taxing authorities, and organizing client documentation. Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines. Supervise, mentor, and develop junior tax professionals. Collaborate with partners and colleagues to improve efficiency and deliver exceptional client service. Desired Qualifications: 5+ years of public accounting tax experience. CPA required (Master of Taxation is a plus). Strong technical tax knowledge and research skills. Experience managing multiple engagements and mentoring staff.
