Restaurant Assistant General Manager | PYRO | Scottsdale The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with familiarity in restaurant systems such as OpenTable and Toast. Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including sanitation, safety and security, company policies and procedures, team leadership, recordkeeping, and reporting. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team while maintaining a positive and professional work environment. Experience managing labor, controlling operational costs, and supporting the restaurant's financial goals. Ability to handle guest concerns, make sound decisions, and keep daily operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. The typical work week is 50-55 hours, and schedule/hours may vary if the Assistant General Manager must fill in for employees or if emergencies arise. Responsibilities and Duties: Ensure operational excellence by actively engaging with guests and staff, addressing concerns promptly, and overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. Lead and develop a team of 25+ employees per shift, setting performance expectations, providing feedback. Maintain accountability for operational standards, addressing performance gaps in guest satisfaction, productivity, profitability, and safety. Manage financial performance by adhering to budgetary guidelines, driving efficiencies to increase sales, and minimizing costs across various areas.
