Cable Technician (Entry-Level) – Data Center Installation

Location: New Albany, OH (Dublin, Hilliard, New Albany sites)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

Pay Rate: $22–$26/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 4:30 PM (OT and some Saturdays available)

Start Date: Rolling / ASAP

We are hiring Cable Technicians to support large-scale data center infrastructure projects in the Columbus, OH area. This is a long-term opportunity with strong growth potential in a rapidly expanding industry. We are seeking reliable, hardworking individuals who want to build a career in low-voltage, telecommunications, or structured cabling.

• Pull, route, and secure Cat5e/Cat6 cables according to industry standards (TIA/EIA)
• Assist with cable dressing, labeling, and organization
• Perform basic terminations (RJ45, patch panels) with guidance
• Support punch-downs and telecom block connections
• Assist with testing cables using industry tools (e.g., Fluke, EXFO)
• Handle and support basic fiber cabling tasks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Follow direction from supervisors and lead technicians

• Entry-level candidates welcome with prior labor experience
• (construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar)
• Strong attendance and reliability (critical for success)
• Ability to work full-time schedule ( non-negotiable hours )
• Comfortable performing physical work and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Able to pass drug screen and BGC
• Cannot have prior experience working at this specific end-client environment or hold an active badge

• Low-voltage or structured cabling exposure
• Cable pulling or installation experience
• Basic understanding of telecommunications systems
• Termination or punch-down experience

• Indoor construction and data center setting
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting regularly
• Work at heights (ladders up to 20 ft) and in tight spaces
• Use of hand tools and equipment daily
• Moderate noise level

This role provides hands-on experience in the data center and infrastructure industry , offering stable work, skill development, and potential career advancement into higher-level technician roles.

• Candidates must be open to working at all local sites (New Albany, Dublin, Hilliard)
• Schedule flexibility is required—hours are not negotiable

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, OH.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Hilliard,OH.

This position is anticipated to close on Jun 18, 2026.
