Laboratory Administrative AssistantThe Laboratory Administrative Assistant is responsible for aiding the laboratory in administrative areas by assisting patients, performing laboratory clinical verifications, data entries, and administrative duties. Minor technical work includes daily Quality Control, preparing next day patient paperwork, and inventory duties. This position requires flexibility, the willingness to take on multiple tasks and roles, and work with instruction or direction from the Laboratory Supervisor. This position assists patients and andrology personnel to maximize its results while maintaining the required safety, quality conditions and follow all laboratory SOPs. This individual assures quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards; follow practice, physician and laboratory division philosophies, as well as standards of care set by the state and other governing agency regulations.Schedule: Per diem position requiring coverage on a weekly basis every Tuesday and Thursday.Essential Functions and Accountabilities:Follows the laboratory's procedures for reporting and maintaining records of patient test results - specifically patient medical records.Studies and adheres to the laboratory's operating manual while becoming familiar with quality control policies, documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.Participates in laboratory operations and meetings as needed.Confirms patients' identity for each laboratory procedure performed.Comforts patients by anticipating patient's anxieties; answers patient's questions as permitted; maintains neat and clean laboratory areasAssures quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards; follows practice, physician and laboratory division philosophies, as well as standards of care set by the state and other governing agency regulations.Academic Training:High school diploma or GED – requiredAssociate degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science - preferredPosition Requirements/Experience:Ability to physically lift equipment and suppliesSome knowledge of OSHA and HIPPA policies and procedures related to the lab and the ability to understand and interpret pertinent policies and procedures clearly and accuratelyTechnical Skills:Electronic Medical Records experience - preferredExcel at Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)IVI-RMA offers a comprehensive benefits package to all employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week.Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance OptionsRetirement 401K PlanPaid Time Off & Paid HolidaysCompany Paid: Life Insurance & Long-Term Disability & AD&DFlexible Spending AccountsEmployee Assistance ProgramTuition ReimbursementAbout IVIRMA Global:IVIRMA is the largest group in the world devoted exclusively to human Assisted Reproduction Technology.
