All City PetCare West is a well-established, full-service, 5 doctor small animal veterinaryhospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care.

We are a progressive,paperless family practice that offers state-of-the-art medical care. We providea broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the useof external laboratories.

• 8 exam rooms
• Digital x-ray
• Well-stocked pharmacy
• Two in-hospital surgery suites
• Special procedures room designated to ultrasounds
• 2 table dental suite
• Digital dental radiograph
• Laparoscope

• Therapeutic Companion Laser
• In-housex-ray capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area
• Spacious break room and doctor facilities

JobSummary

In addition tothe responsibilities outlined below, the Associate Veterinarian is aninvaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with a ManagingDoctor, Hospital Manager and supporting medical staff. This individual advancesthe quality of medicine in the practice and provides exceptional client serviceto our clients and patients.

JobResponsibilities

• Builds rapport with clients bygathering information and listening to, and empathizing with theirconcerns
• Performs physical examinations anddiagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highestquality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort
• Communicates with clients on topicssuch as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, andnutritional needs
• Maintains client/patientmedical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are keptup-to-date through established protocols
• Stays current on new medicalinformation and changes in veterinary medicine
• Assists in the development of theparaprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care andexceptional client service
• Presents a positive image of thehospital in the professional community and to the general public

Skillsand Basic Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine(DVM) or related degree from an accredited university
• Licensure in good standing topractice in SD
• Commitment to practicing thehighest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics
• Demonstrates excellent verbal andwritten communication skills
• Works collaboratively with hospitalteam members
• Makes decisions confidently andeffectively
• Manages time and tasksappropriately
• Models a professional and courteousmanner with staff and clients
• Commitment to ongoing educationaldevelopment and growth
