This will lead teams in the design, development, and maintenance of complex systems. We meet customer and mission needs by leveraging cutting-edge research and technology, using small teams to rapidly get capabilities into the hands of the warfighter. Our technical efforts focus on signal processing, image processing, full-motion video, mission planning, and data analytics.As a leading member of our team, you would work on one or more efforts at a time, assisting and managing multiple parts of the development process, from understanding customer requirements, to design, development, testing and deployment. Senior members at BRE also directly assist with winning new work, writing proposals, and interacting with the customer. Since we deal with specific customer needs, it will be necessary to understand the problem, to utilize methods from a potentially wide variety of domains, produce functional solutions, and see the efforts through to completion. Opportunities to cross-cut technical areas and hone adjacent skills abound.Job Responsibilities:Work closely with engineers, analysts, and other developers to brainstorm and implement creative solutions for customer needs.Share expertise in software development, signal processing, and data analytics to guide the team toward achieving program objectives.Take a leadership role in defining the technical direction of projects, ensuring that the team’s efforts align with customer requirements and mission goals.Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and problem-solving approaches.Contribute to the development of high-quality software solutions, leveraging programming languages like Python and C/C++ in a Linux environment.Collaborate with team members to test and refine code, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.Work with tools and frameworks such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) to enhance the team’s capabilities.Explore and implement advanced techniques in digital signal processing, geolocation, and high-performance computing.Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify innovative approaches and refine technical designs.Provide regular updates to team members and stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaboration.Help the team stay ahead of the curve by researching and integrating emerging technologies and methodologies.Ensure that the team’s work directly supports the warfighter by delivering functional, reliable, and impactful solutions.Take pride in seeing projects through from conception to deployment, knowing that your contributions make a tangible difference.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplineMinimum of 5 years of experience in software design/development, data structures, and algorithmsTS/SCI is requiredMinimum of 4 years of experience in a Linux environment and software developmentMinimum of 2 years of Programming Languages: Python, C/C++Code management with Git or other common tools Preferred Qualifications Include:Tools & Frameworks: X-Midas, Git, OpenCV, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Keras, Qt/PyQt, AndroidDigital Signal Processing (DSP) experienceT/FDOA or other externals geolocation experienceMachine learning framework experience (PyTorch, Tensorflow)Docker/containerization experienceExperience with KubernetesGitlab CI/CD experienceHigh Performance Computing: CUDA/GPU, Grid Systems, Parallel Processing, ThreadingAn active TS/SCI w/polygraph is preferredSecurity Clearance Requirement:An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.​This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
