Class A Walking Floor Driver

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced Class A Driver to join our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials using Walking Floor trailers. This role requires a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and a strong commitment to safety and compliance with transportation regulations. The Walking Floor Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and secure deliveries while upholding our commitment to environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate Walking Floor Trailers to transport materials to designated locations.

Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe transportation.

Inspect and maintain the condition of the Walking Floor Trailers, reporting any issues promptly.

Load and unload materials in a secure and efficient manner, following proper procedures.

Complete required paperwork, such as logbooks and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.

Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and clients to ensure smooth transportation operations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the Walking Floor Trailers to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Follow established routes and schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes.

Adhere to environmental regulations and company guidelines for the proper disposal of materials.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills:

Valid Class A commercial driver's license (REQUIRED) with endorsements (preferred)

Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Class A Driver (REQUIRED)

Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently

Demonstrated reliability and a commitment to meeting delivery deadlines

Familiarity with DOT regulations and logbook requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to operate the vehicle; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Compensation:

The Walking Floor Driver position offers a competitive salary range of $33,280.00 to $104,000.00 per year, based on experience and performance. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with employer matching, and generous paid time off, and life insurance coverage.
