The Procurement Operations (Supply Chain) Pharmacy Tech reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Ensures fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions in an automated central fill pharmacy in order to maintain a continuous and consistent workflow to meet daily production and quality goals by using the scanner to identify and select pharmaceutical product and quantity for prescription orders.
• Utilize automated repackaging system for unit dose from bulk product; maintain label requirements of each unit dose, expiration date management, and storage requirements maintenance

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR), Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA required for all licensed after 2008 (within 6 months of hire or sooner if required by IL pharmacy practice act)
• Preferred: 1 year experience in a micro fulfillment or mail order pharmacy

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Will occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance
• Must be able to stand up majority of the workday
• Must have functional speech, vision, and hearing
• Will be exposed to chemical hazards; therefore, must have the ability to wear protective clothing as needed
