This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams while driving inventory optimization, production scheduling, and supply chain efficiency.The company has experienced significant growth over the last several years, creating an exciting environment for professionals who enjoy solving complex planning challenges and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.What You'll Be DoingDevelop and maintain production and supply plans that align with customer demand and delivery requirements.Review and execute MRP recommendations, converting planning signals into actionable production orders.Monitor inventory levels and proactively balance supply and demand to prevent shortages while minimizing excess inventory.Collaborate closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, and Quality teams to support uninterrupted production flow.Utilize ERP systems daily to manage material planning, production orders, and scheduling activities.Analyze forecasts, inventory trends, capacity constraints, and production data using advanced Excel tools.Build and evaluate "what-if" scenarios to support decision-making around demand fluctuations, supply disruptions, and capacity planning.Adjust production schedules and plans in response to changing business needs and operational priorities.Identify opportunities for process improvements and support initiatives that enhance planning accuracy and operational efficiency.What We're Looking For3+ years of production planning experience within a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of MRP-driven planning and production order management.Experience working in ERP systems such as SAP or similar manufacturing platforms.Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, formulas, and data analysis.Knowledge of production scheduling, inventory management, and supply planning best practices.Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed planning decisions.Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.Experience supporting a growing or scaling manufacturing operation is highly preferred.Why Consider This Opportunity?Join a company that has doubled in size over the past five yearsWork in a highly visible role that directly impacts production and customer delivery performanceCollaborate with cross-functional business leaders and plant operationsOpportunity to contribute to process improvements and scalable planning initiativesStable organization with continued growth and expansionSchedule: Monday-Friday, On-Site in MelvilleHours: 8:30 AM-5:30 PM or 8:45 AM-5:30 PM (depending on schedule selection)If you're a production planning professional who enjoys working with data, solving complex supply chain challenges, and driving operational success, we'd love to hear from you.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Melville, NY.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
