About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Vascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the Operating Room License: Not required for submission Certifications: BLS, CST through Surgical Technologist program (NCCT not accepted) Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room; Endovascular (IR procedures); Vascular; Scrubbing required Description: Department focuses on Vascular Surgery. Currently has 1 suite with the potential to grow. Average of 3 cases per day. Common cases include Endovascular (IR procedures), various Vascular procedures, and amputations. Charge Nurse and/or House Supervisor is present on each shift. Operating room techs are available. Uses EPIC as the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Shifts and scheduling will be discussed during the interview. Weekend call is required from Saturday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM; every third weekend. Holiday call rotation is part of the position. Call response time is expected to be 30 minutes. May float to assist other surgical teams or departments if qualified. Client provides scrubs for work. Unit-specific orientation will involve scrubbing with a surgical tech for one week. Cancellation policy allows for client cancellation up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
