Job Details

Responsibilities

- Handle a full workers' compensation defense caseload, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and case strategy
- Provide counsel to employers, carriers, and third-party administrators on claim exposure, risk, and resolution paths
- Draft opinions, motions, and settlement documents with clarity, accuracy, and strategic intent
- Appear before WCAB judges throughout California (remote appearances when available)
- Maintain consistent communication with clients while delivering timely, practical updates
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative, litigation-focused practice group

Qualifications

- CA Barred attorney
- At least 3 years of workers' compensation defense experience
- Strong understanding of California WCAB procedures
- Comfortable managing files with minimal supervision and making strategic decisions
- Excellent written advocacy skills and confident oral communication
- Ability to build strong client relationships grounded in responsiveness and reliability
