Full-time Seasonal Bartender

SUMMARY  

Responsible for providing food and beverage service to club members and guests.

HOURS/DAYS

Hours and days fluctuate according to the wants and needs of the members and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties represent the primary responsibilities of the position. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

DINING ROOM

· Inspect the bar area prior to opening to ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available and in proper working condition.

· Maintain communication with department leadership regarding supply levels and any items that need to be ordered.

· Maintain thorough knowledge of all bar products including spirits, wines, beers, and specialty beverages.

· Follow all established bar setup procedures and glassware standards.

· Prepare garnishes, mixers, and batch beverages as required.

· Mix, prepare, and serve beverages according to established recipes and club standards.

· Recommend wines and beverages to members and guests and provide proper tableside wine service when appropriate.

· Maintain accurate inventory awareness of liquor, beer, and wine to ensure appropriate par levels are maintained.

· Comply with all laws, regulations, and club policies related to responsible alcohol service.

· Accurately charge all beverages to member accounts using the club’s point-of-sale system.

· Operate the espresso machine and prepare coffee beverages as required.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area at all times.

· Complete all cleaning and closing duties according to club standards.

· Greet members and guests in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner.

· Complete all end-of-shift reports and ensure all credit card and POS transactions are accurate.

· Report any member or guest concerns to department leadership promptly.

· After completing bar responsibilities, assist with floor service or other team needs until the entire shift is complete, including daily resets.

· Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must have food and beverage experience. Excellent communication skills are essential. Must be a team player and customer service oriented.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Physical activities required on a daily basis will consist of standing and walking for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 30 – 40 pounds. Must be able to work long hours during the season.

The work environment will entail all food and beverage outlets. While performing the duties of this job, the associate occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
