FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full‑time Floor Technician positions. Locations: University of South Florida – 4202 East Fowler, Tampa, FL 33620 (additional openings in other school district locations). Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am (full‑time). Pay: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. Note: online applications accepted only. Job Summary Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment on hard‑surface floors and carpets. Essential Functions Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care, including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment. Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas. Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques. Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
