Experience Requirements
- 12 years of previous outside sales experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, hydraulic, fluid power, construction, or related industries
- Strong prospecting, networking, and business development skills
- Ability to build relationships with maintenance managers, plant managers, engineers, purchasing teams, and operations leaders
- Experience generating quotes, proposals, and customer solutions
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain customer relationships across industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, construction, forestry, utility, and transportation markets
- Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and customer referrals
- Conduct on-site customer visits to identify equipment repair and replacement opportunities
- Recommend hydraulic products, components, and custom solutions to improve performance and reliability
- Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and sales proposals
- Follow up on leads, quotes, and customer inquiries promptly
- Collaborate with service and production teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline records within CRM systems
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals
